'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' leads box-office, opens with $330m worldwide
According to Variety, the opening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever brought in an amazing $330 million worldwide and $180 million domestically.
The sequel to the eagerly awaited Marvel movie is breaking records for a November opening in North America, surpassing milestones like the $158 million mark established by 2013's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
The first all-black superhero film, on the other hand, made a strong $330 million globally, with $150 million of that total coming from 55 foreign markets.
The film's director, Ryan Coogler, received high marks from the reviewers. According to Variety's Owen Gleiberman, "Wakanda Forever has a slow-burn emotional suspense. It doesn't let up once the movie picks up steam.
Wakanda Forever is currently recognized as having the second-largest domestic premiere of 2022.
